ESKO purchase of AWS

What will it mean to AWS users in the long run?

We have been reviewing both for Flexographic printing. Well, I guess pitting one against the other for better pricing just went out the window...

I'm REALLY interested in what their plan is for the products? I can't imagine they'd keep all the different products. What's gonna go?

esko have just become a very very large player in packaging - thats for sure - and they are already big.

This will be interesting. We've got a Nexus Processor/RIP and one seat of ArtPro, and an Esko Spark flexo platesetter. The Nexus Processor has been a big disappointment, so recently I've been looking at some alternatives, including Esko's offerings.

ArtWork Systems also owns Enfocus; we've been testing Neo from them and have been duly impressed. I wonder if Enfocus will just become part of the larger entity or get spun off on their own. My guess is that the pdf technology under the Enfocus name was at least part of the draw for Esko.

I cringe anytime a company tells me this is going to be good for me. It's usually followed up by "bend over".
