We use both systems, AWS support in the UK is very good where as Esko is poor.

Heheh, here in France, each time I was phoning to AWS France, I was frightening them.
"He's calling again, we are on meeting, we will call back later.", I'm somewhat known as a White Wolf, with very technical questions, that needed to be sent to Ghent for investigation...

So, I was never (ok, very very rarely) called back and had to do it on my own, finding an alternative solution, with either Esko products or depending on the state of the job my own solution.

Hopefully for them I have been out of the business for past couple of years.

So, Esko is merging with AWS? how parodic it is, it was the same company at first that splitted, some working on a Mac version of the software and the other team developping their own hardware.
It looks like a loop, isn't it?

Can you clarify?

Are you saying AWS and Esko used to be the same company or are you refering to PCC?

Some people left ESKO years ago and formed ArtWork Systems.
Now their one again.

Zimmy is right, though the company wasn't named Esko by that time.
Well, they removed the history from the site for some time now.
The main company was named DIGI, hence the product line (DIGI) from Barco Graphics by that time.
Both softwares (Packedge and ArtPro) are sharing a common core.

That can't be serious... really? that's not a name.

They will change it next year and rename the products line again, something Esko is very well known to do. :-P

They should have gone with a complete different name, better seizing the idea of what they are selling.

I still remember the first time I applied at Esko (it was Barco Graphics yet), they were referring to Artwork by 'the other ones"; just because it sounded bad to name them with the brand.
When you know the full history, it really sounds weird.

Well, I wish customers of the new company all the best for the switch.
