Angry Make 1 image for Imported File?

Has anyone got a way to make Nexxus create only 1 image for the imported file instead of a million tiffs? I know we used to do it when we first started with Artpro (imported manually thru Artpro) but now the place I work at uses Nexxus to do all the importing and I'd like to change it. Anyone?

In your import module there is a button to make images internal. See if that works for you.
Attached Images
File Type: pdf Picture 2.pdf (12.9 KB, 5 views)

thanx, I've done that and it does make an internal ct so you don't need to keep all of the tifs, the thing I still don't like is that my images are still all broken up (most likely due to many transparencies) and trapping gets ugly sometimes! I want the ripped file to have one image for each image, ya know what I mean?

How about flatten Transparencies(under Arrange menu)

The issues more then likey is your sending nexus a flatten file. Give it a non-flatten file. It's best to give Nexus a PDF version 1.5 or 1.6.

macdevin, are you saying that if I use a pdf 1.5 or 1.6 that nexxus WON'T break up the images in my ripped file? how do you make a non-flattened file from Indesign or Quark without printing it and making a PDF?

I was printing PS file from Indy, this time I exported a PDF & it ripped better, it didn't split images into a bunch of pieces like before, I guess it was splitting them up due to layered transparencies.

From InDesign you export it as a 1.5 or 1.6 PDF and it will not flatten.

Quark, on the other hand, has no way to make a PDF that is not flattened.
