Compare Nexxus and Rampage

Does anyone here have any comparisson's between Rampage and Nexxus?
We are currently using Rampage, but may be interested in moving to Nexxus... Curious as to what you all think?

I don't have time right now to go in to detail.

Why do you want to move away from Rampage?
We had Rampage for less then a year, but our issue was RARE.

To me Rampage it the Best RIP out there. They have the best support while Artworks has one of the worst that I've delt with.

If we did not do Large Silkscreen jobs, then we would put Rampage back in.
Every operator loved it and now they scream all day long.

Just looking

We are just looking...
We really love Rampage, but we needed to get something more for our Flexo Dept. as we've increased that area of the Business a great deal recently, and it looks as though ArtPro has the featurees that we are looking for within the Flexo consideration. We were just kind of wondering if we should go to a workflow with them, or stick with Rampage, just looking, and with the forums here, quite frankly, nobody knows better than the users....
But we are happy with Rampage otherwise, they just lacked in the Flexo area for our needs right now, that's why we are even looking.

Yes, that is an issue! Rampage is lacking that.
And Artworks has some of the best screens + tools for flexo.

As a former Rampage user it will be hard to get over. It is so much harder to get a job to go thru then Rampage as far as the GUI. Your operators will scream and kick.

Lets say that you have no issues with your files/or you don't mind waiting 4+ hours for support to get back to you. You may be ok.

If you don't care to upgrade then you may be ok.

The one thing that you do have is US....This forum is very active and we would be glad to help your issues.

So Far

So Far, that is the way that I am leaning, to make my reccomendation, but I thought that it would be worth a look.
Actually I posted on the Nexxus furum the same question, and haven't heard anything back yet, and I also read down throught the list, and it looks as though they are having some prblems getting bugs fixed... Rampage doesn't usually have Bugs to speak of, and that really means alot to us as well.
Thanks for your input though...

Nexus caters out to flexo shops, thats why probably you relate to its features in Art Pro. I come from 10 yrs commercial experience and frankly found no use for Nexus or their support for that matter. I believe that company is for sale right now. Anyways they are both completely different animals.
