We have been having issues with the way that Nexus flattens our files when going through the raster or vector trap workflows. CT images are breaking into pieces and this is causing some hair lines in our final plates. This gaps are not visable in our proofs. We are running 8.2.3. Any help would be appreciated. We keep catching this on press.

What kind of file are you starting with? How are you getting it into Nexus? Printing/HotFolder?

Printing directly out of Illustrator. CS2 files, with linked PSD images.

There is your main problem, your printing! You should not make a ps file of any kind. When you print or save as an .eps your envoking the program to do the flatting.

You need to make a PDF with at least 1.5 or higher.

You may also need to embed the images in illiy. There is a huge bug when certian files are placed will be chopped into small pieces.
