I swear there was a topic here about the old purple dongles, but I'm not finding it.
I have 4 of the purple dongles we got with Pageflow and worked with Nexus7. Now we are using Nexus8 on OS 10.3. I am wondering if there is a way to make these work on OSX for just the raster workflows.
Has anybody had success or tried this before? I can't even get DongleViewer OSX to recognize them.

We use them with panther/nexus 8. Dongleviewer may be the wrong app to look for the license. Go to Insight preferences and licenses. Look for it there. I think we we had to get new OSX license files from AWS though. It has been over a year so cant remember for sure.

What program are you using the dongles for: Nexus Manger, Insight, or what?

With Insight there is a version that runs in OSX but you need a new license file from Artwork-Systems for it to work.

Nexus Manager for a short period of time required a dongle (I think) but you don't need a dongle with Nexus 8.

I needed it for Raster, so yes, just for InSight. I contacted Artwork systems directly and got the ever so wonderful tech line. But they did get it working for me so it is possible.

I see they got it working for you. I just went through this so for anyone else the answer is a new license file from Nexus. It will NOT work with the old Pageflow license file in OS X.

Just to clarify. It is not the old PageFlow license file but rather the old OS9 InSight license file. PageFlow and InSight are two seperate products.
