Nexus Dongles?
We've got 3 USB dongles for Nexus Edit/Insight. Nexus Edit and Insight are both OS X native and both apps recognize the dongle and the OS X dongle viewer recognizes the dongles too. We also have 4 USB dongles that are just for Insight but they are not recognized by OS X or the OS X version of InSight. The only way I can get InSight to work with these dongles is to run the Classic version of Insight after I install the OS 9 drivers. I have also installed the OS X drivers but no matter what I try these dongles only seem to work under OS 9 or Classic. Is anyone else seeing this problem? Or has anyone solved this problem?

I believe you have to get updated license files for the USB keys for Insight on OSX.

Did you install the Framework items from the Insight OSX folder from Artwork-Systems?

What is that? The OS X InSight is installed along with Nexus Edit. Our OS 9 version of Insight was also installed along with Nexus Edit but on those machines that only have the Insight dongle the Nexus Edit won't run. The tech from Nexus originally installed it this way on all of the machines. I haven't even seen an OS X Insight folder or a Frameworks download on the download site. What am I missing?
Thanks for the replies guys, I'll look into both suggestions.

I have uploaded the "Insight OSX" file to here
http://www.prepressforums.com/module...lders/pcmodem/
You can also download it from ftp.pro.com
You will also need a new license number for Insight OSX to work.

Thanks for the info Brian, I will have to get with support for the new license numbers. Do you know if Nexus will want to charge a gazillion dollars for these new numbers. I'd think it should be free as the whole world is going to OS X after all.

I didn't have to pay anything for the new license numbers. I am also on support contract too.
You will have to give them your dongle information so they can create a new license.

We have the support contract also so it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for the info.

I just installed OSX 10.4.1 and now I can no longer use Nexus edit or insight. It says I need to load license into preference window in insight. Is this related to needing a new license also? Artwork systems tells me they dont support OSX 10.4 yet. Any help would be appreciated as it stands now I can not view or edit files before sending to film. Thanks

Make sure you have the Frameworks installed and that you have the license installed as well.
When you are in the license tab you should beable to see a dongle tab. Look there and make sure you can see your dongle when it is plugged in.
