Geneva in ps file is now "P3 True Type (CID)" in P
Working for an advertising agency, I use ApogeeX 3.5 Create worflow, and the files I want to end-up getting are final trapped PDFs. So this is how I got it set up: I drop my (application generated) composite ps file into one hot ticket that normalises it (without image compression) and exports a trapped ps file to another hot ticket that exports a final trapped PDF. Why this 2 steps operation? Because some of the publications we send files to are using Harlequin rips that don't support trap annotations in PDFs, while some other publications are placing the PDF in InDesign (another way of loosing trap annotations) before sending it to the rip. So my 2nd step "embbeds" the trapping in the PDF. It works great so far except that when I produce a ps file from InDesign, it uses the dfont "Geneva" for the name and date vignette at the bottom of the document and in my 2nd step resulting PDF, what used to be Geneva is now "P3 True Type (CID)" font and one of the publication, using pitstop server, refused my file saying it had some composite true type font in it. Any idea how this could happen, that the font identity gets changed?
Thank you.
