OS9.22 to ApogeeX running on Windows 2003 server

Ok, I'm in Apogee training this week (last day tomorrow) and we ran into a strange problem.

We set up hot folders on the network for our various job tickets......like film or plate.

It worked yesterday- but now......through Quark..when printing to the hot folder through appletalk....the status bar says something like "identifying the printer": and it just goes on and on until the job is cancelled. Like Windows 2003 server and the mac are communicating but not getting through to each other. I tried it through Mac OSX....no problem. We tried it through another Mac OS9.22 on the network...no problem. I opened up Pagemaker..sent a file through on 9.22...no problem. After sending that job, I tried it through Quark...no problem. Like the Pagemaker job had flushed out the problem. Then it starts again. The workaround? Using virtual printer (8.33 or something) and printing from there. The only problem with this is that you cannot do background printing so you wait a very long time and you cannot pick anything other than ps level 1 or 2. Also, by printing the job to a pdf or a ps file you can drag it into the hot folder and it works.

We've deleted ps drivers....installed new ones...rebuilt the desktop, etc, etc to no avail.

The AGFA guy is calling all over the world to try and solve the problem but as of yet......nothing.

Any ideas? Anyone????
