Pitstop Convert to CMYK action

When I run this action, the Pitstop report often reports deviceN colors with an alternate color space of CMYK. Does anyone know why?

Also, sometimes Pitstop reports only CMYK in the color section, but when I run the file through Twist 5, I end up with deviceN and Spot "All" in the final PDF.

Trying to learn, getting more confused.

Any help you folks can offer is gratefully anticipated.

Thanks,
Michele

Spot color "all" is the crop and registration marks. Send me the PDF in an email.

Hello Michelen

Even if you define something in CMYK, it can end up in a PDF as Separation Color or as DeviceN. If those colors refer again to CMYK color, then this is OK. You actually should not get bothered just because CMYK is defined differently in PDF. It's just a technical flavor.

Spot Color "All" is one of two special spot colors, you also should net confronted with. Spot color "All" is the same as Registration color in layout applications. Every object colored in this color will appear on every separation - like registration marks. The other color is the spot color "None", which is the opposite of "All" - you do not see elements colored in that color, nor should they appear on any separation (except non compliant renderers like Preview of OS X)
