I read somewhere on these threads that pitstop 7 doesn't work Acro 8. The info could be wrong.

According to the Enfocus website I would say no. Maybe Matt will come along and elaborate on this.

no they do not.
I know cause I have them both.
I had to uninstall Acro 8, install Acro 7 with Pitstop and then reinstall Acro 8, just to get it all to work.

yes, it works in Acro 7 only.

But, you won't be able to install it if you have Acro 8 on your Mac.
So you have to take Acro 8 off, then install Pitstop, then put Acro 8 back on.

On my Mac, I now have:
Acrobat 7 running with Pitstop 7
and Acrobat 8 (with no Pitstop)

hope this helps,
David

Yup, PitStop Pro 7.03 will NOT work in Acrobat 8.

There is an update that will be available in Q1 according to press releases last October. Beyond that, there is nothing I can discuss about any updates that may or may not be pending.

It should be very close to release, right?

Enfocus said that after new version of Acrobat, they have 90 days to release compatible version of Pitstop, maybe contract with Adobe or something??

I read this from one of the Enfocus guys a while ago.

All I know is I am waiting this update so I can update all my licenses (11 in total) of Pitstop.

I have no information on release dates. If I had any, I would not be able to publicise them unless authorized; which I am not.

There was a press release in October that said Q1 of 2007. We've still got two months in Q1.

I'd be happy to sell you maintenance on your 11 seats to cover any 7.x upgrades that there might be and to roll you into a VLA for easier management and less expensive additional copies.

Thanks Matt for the offer.

I already have Volume License but will keep you in mind when the time is for upgrade.
I also have plans on buying Instant PDF, and will talk to you before I make any moves.
