Cool Acrobat 8 and PitStop 7

There is an update available for PitStop to vs7.1. I have used it with Acrobat 8 and, while it appears to work, it has some issues. I use a Prinergy EVO workflow and need to edit pdf quite often. It seems that if I make type corrections to a file they look fine but the files won't run through the system, they fail when we try to plate or proof the imposition files. I have to run the files through earlier versions of Acrobat, create ps files and re-refine them to get them to work.

So I recommend staying with Acrobat 7 and PitStop for any editing until the bugs are worked out.

I'm still waiting to hear what this "raise without a handler" error is. If Enfocus or someone could answer this my job would be just a little bit more bearable.

Pitstop 7 and Acrobat on Intel machines

It appears that any revisions done to a pdf on my Intel machine causes the file to fail when going thru our Prinergy EVO workflow. I thought it was only Acrobat 8 but it happens in Acrobat 7 as well. The only variable that I can find is the Intel chips on this machine.

I've upgraded to Pitstop 7.2 and running it with both Acrobat 7 and 8 and have not had one single "raise without a handler" error since getting rid of Pitstop 6.53. Happy days my friends!

Question

Joe,
You're running PitStop Pro 7 via Acrobat 8?

Yep, pretty much confirm this too. Only proviso being that haven't used it extensively. But PSP 7.2 is installed and working with AcroPro 8. I think I just got lucky... happened to install CS3 at the same time PSP went to 7.2. Just went ahead in my usual [blissfully ignorant way], and installed it.

What the...

Yes, that is correct. Have been doing it for about 5 weeks on an Intel iMac. Installed it the week before July 4th holiday week. Specifically it is now Pitstop Pro 7.2 and Acrobat 8.1.
