That is partially correct, InDesign does not export a PostScript file in the traditional sense of the word, it exports an EPS which Matt is correct in saying direct PDF is the only way in InDesign to get that level of interactivity.
Of all the things to bash Quark for lately, their PostScript generation is more true to the definition and will allow hyperlinks to be embedded. QuarkXPress' PS files will distill with hyperlinks intact.
