Being Ready
The best things you can do is to have all the resources under your control that will be needed for the install available. These include all the necessary computer platforms up and running and on the network, any and all devices that the Esko system will output to available and open to communication for the Esko software, someone with IT knowledge of you shop available, knowledge and availability of your email server configuration, and most importantly ( and sometimes most difficultly ) - freeing up the people in-house that are going to require onsite training and involvement in the install.
Check with the installer ahead of time to see if press time will be needed for calibration or profiling, and have the proper dot or colour reading devices available. And of course make sure your CTP or CTF equipment is up and running by time the installer gets there.
Esko also offers classroom training on it's software products and may be scheduled prior to installation. This training takes place at an Esko office and gives your personnel the opportunity to learn the products in an environment free of interruptions and dedicated to the goal of learning the software. When your system is installed you then have trained in-house personnel ready to participate in using your Esko products. This saves time as well as money as the cost of classroom training is very attractive. Classroom training may be something to consider even after you have our Esko system for some time, as new employees come in, or current employee require refreshing to remind them of the full potential of it's products.
