I did not switch to gmg because I had problems with quality of profiles from Monaco. I believe Monaco is very good as a software. I switched because of my workflow. I just did not have time to make a new profile after profile as my Epson drifted. I was using Rampage rip with ICC module and I did not have any way to bring printer back (linearization) without actually remaking the color profile. It is a major hassle. With gmg I don't need to ever redo a color profile. Just automatically re-linearize printer. Many other color rips will allow you to just relinearize to bring printer back to original know state but gmg was the best for me for many other reasons. gmg supports hexachrome.
