Over my 18 years in the trade I have probably heard every department complain about prepress.
We are Prima donnas.
All we do is sit on our butts.
Just push the Button!
Just print what is in the file!
I have probably heard it all, but the end all, be all, was an owner telling me that I was a necessary evil. That comment even beats the time I heard a client tell an owner that every Mac person he has should be fired. (BTW: we got to see that client get fired by his boss. LOL!) Maybe someday I will be used to everyone in the trade thinking that Prepress is the source of all the problems, but it won't be anytime soon.
