I have used Rampage for several years and personally I feel the $1500, or is it $1750 now, I pay a year is a bargain for maintenance. I have used Contex, Scitex, Barco and Screen and man let me tell you, what they charged for support was legalized extortion. The only reason I am up to date with the builds is because I have to load upgrades on 12 Rampage boxes and several macs (Clients and pathway) and I always check with Rampage before I install just to make sure its the absolute latest build and if its not I have them put the latest build on their ftp site and I download it. Yes, I do agree it would be nice for customers under maintenance to be able to log into their site to download the latest build. But in the mean time I call about every 6 weeks to see if I'm on the latest build.
