I have done this same impo many times in Indy. I created a series of templates for the common postcard sizes, complete with guides and crop marks on a master page.

Keep in mind that if any InDesign drop shadows are used, when you rotate the postcard the drop shadow WILL NOT go with it. So, I often have to create a single page PDF and then place that in my 6-up template.
