I don't understand why you can't correct everything that needs correcting in Photoshop, with the exception of placing the dieline. I would fix everything in Photoshop, save a copy (so you have the customer's original file unmolested in case you need to go back to it), place the corrected copy in InDesign, then add your dieline on top as a separate spot color.
