maybe i should have said illustrator eps - if you place an illy eps it wont get trapped - my fubar - apologies - i should be clearer!
i place a majority of my pdf's in indy colorblind - i have had no issues whatsoever with it as a way of imposing a full sheet layout (packaging layouts) to B1 and assigning trap settings - in fact its been excellent so far - but i;ll watch for the things you mention.
here's a dumm question - will that trap not show when viewing with overprint preview in indy?
if not, will the trap be honoured if you DONT assign a trap in indy then and rip the job (i have a psl3 xitron navigator)?
ya learn something new every day - except on ppf where i usually learn several new things every day!
