When you print to your rip you must select separations and Application built in Trapping .

Here is a link all about it. It's what I based my workflow on altho I altered it a bit to fit my needs.
His link tells about how to generate a trapped composite PDF from InDesign.

Could be a tricky workflow to place PDFs in InDesign. Especially PDFs that have trapping annotations. You will see the trapping in Acrobat but place the PDF in InDesign and it's now gone. Trapping annotations are instructions that PS3 rips can understand but InDesign not being a rip, ignores them.
