It helps if you're able to proof the file as well. We have our Kodak Approvals set up to make this with the colors laying down (ink order) just like they do on press. We can get really close to the actual press run, even better if we use the job stock to proof on.
We have spent a lot of time and money (not to mention press proofs) to figure this out.
We do a lot of car books and they lovvvve the metallics!!
We even do the paint chips in house now with the metallic integration and specialized UV coatings.
