It's been awhile since I've used Dynastrip but I think your problem is that when naming colours in Dynastrip they have to be named EXACTLY as they are in your documents. This may hold true for the .eps files as well.

We always used the "density bar" option in Dynastrip to provide colour bars but this gives you solid squares only.
