Hi! I'm a graphic artist - this is my issue:
I placed an eps montone pantone spot color image in Illustrator CS, and Illustrator asked me wether I wanted to use the documents original color or to use Illustrator's swatch color, so I chose Illustrator color. The file did display any new aditional name, and the monotone eps file had the exact same name in my psd file. The printer was not able to create the separations. The eps images were embeded, as opposed to linked, and apparently they got it to work by re-linking the files and having them only linked - which left me puzzled
. Anyone can help me decifer what happened, so I may not have this problem again??
