How much RAM do you have in your PC?
Esko is a RAM hog (much like the new Adobe suite CS3).
If you don't have sufficient RAM the apps can't run at top performance and may crash when trying to render objects that contain some form of transparency.
You may want to look into upgrading the RAM in your box, it's actually cheeper than you may think.
