Hotfolders in navigators are called Spool folders, do not have a RIP in front of me at the moment but from memory.

create your pagesetups
go to inputmanager in your navigator, create a new input,
give it a name, select type (Spool folderer)
Select the pagesetup to connect to

Then select the configure button
In the directory field, enter location for hotfolder such as d:\hotfolder\175LPI
make sure the button to create if not does exist is turned on.

Then in Windows then you must share this folder, (either the exact folder or the main hotfolder directory) you must make sure that external users have write access. The quickest way is to navigate from my computer to the hot folder directory - not not open it, then right mouse click, select share, give it a share name and allow network users to change files.

Then back in RIP, in input manage make sure the input is turned ON then start inputs in the RIP by pressing the green arrow icon

Hope this helps, if not give me a PM
Thanks and yes it did help and playing around a bit.

So just to think out loud here...

If I want to use a certain screening plug-in and set exposure and use a tiff, I would make a tiff page setup with a name and then a screening page setup with a name. Go to Input Controller, click new, attach my screening setup name there with spoolfolder as type, then configure writing the exact location path back to where the tiff folder is, say on C drive then click OK and good to go?

We will be using only one location for this server for now so there will only be one user to the Rip then to the image setter.

Thanks!
