What's your point? I've worked in publishing for 10 years, magazines and newspapers. Within the industry term is pagination. And yes, layout is another acceptable term.


We've always used the term "pagination" just as the definition implies. The sequence of numbers (or letters, roman numerals etc for preface pages) assigned to pages in a book. Maybe because I've had to deal with binderies and such so much that the term stuck with me in that sense. Been in the commercial printing biz going on 25 yrs.
