My appologies, i don't think i explained my problem very clearly. I posted it in a hurry while at work.
The set up i am using is CS3 Design Premium, running on a PC. The default printer is a black and white lazer to print out orders, this has to remain so as some of my collegues are as technicly minded as a slug.
The job in question is a series of photos that i get sent on a regular basis to print via a fiery rip into a xerox 2024.
In CS2 i could always open up some or all of the photos together, set my printer and printer prefs for the first image and so long as i didnt close photoshop they would remain the same. Since i have been upgraded to CS3 i find that now photoshop reverts to the default black and white printer with every image.
I know the easy way round this would be to batch print the images but as it is not always my self printing these images i need to find out how to prevent the printer defaulting to BW without changing the windows default printer.
(sorry if its a bit long winded....)
