Ok, I'm an idiot. I've been poking my nose in and out of this thread and I can see the point on both sides but I've got to say we are in the printing and graphics business not the wine and cheese business. The trade is not for the faint of heart. It aint war or a hospital but it will take it's toll on people over time, especially those who do the real production work not a person who did a little and put his nose in the right spot and got a position of authority. What I seem to see is some sort of power play going on here. Someone taking charge for the betterment of all. I know of a site called
http://www.2-popforums.com/forums/ that used to be very popular with the film editors and it found itself, I think, where PPF is today. They enforced stricked guidelines. Sounds very nice and all but the site is a ghost of what it used to be. No personality at all.
