Adobe Illustrator CS2 Tip ? Making Point Text Flow Again
You?ve been asked to edit the text in an high-resolution Acrobat, because the original layout has been lost. You open the PDF in Illustrator only to discover that the body copy that you need to change is ?point text? with each character being a separate text object. This could make minor editing into a major hassle with lots of maneuvering of individual characters.

Not to worry! There is an easier way. Marquee across all the individual text objects and Copy them (Edit > Copy). Create a new Text Frame with your Text tool and go to Edit > Paste. The pasted copy should become easy-to-edit flowing text again. It usually works nicely, but don?t be surprised if on occasion, there are no spaces between the words.

Tip provided by Jeff Witchel, Certified Adobe? Training Provider.
