For those who care...
Here is todays tip.
Layers magazine Tip of the Day
Adobe Illustrator CS2 Tip ? You Say Color and I Say Colour.
You?re designing a poster for your client in the UK that will be used in both the USA and the UK. You always Spellcheck (Edit > Check Spelling) your work, trying to dispel that rumor that artists can?t spell. The problem is that spelling in American English and British English can be very different.
Solution: Set up the American type in one Layer and the British type in another and turn off one Layer while viewing or outputting the other (click the Eye next to the Layer Name). In your Character palette (Window > Type > Character), go to the Options (Arrow) menu of the palette and check Show Options if ?Language? is not available at the bottom of the palette. In the British Layer, select the text and change the Language to ?English: UK.? In the American text Layer, the Dictionary for the selected text should be ?English: USA.? When you check your Spelling (Edit Check Spelling), the appropriate Dictionary will be used by Illustrator. As a Character palette setting, you can change the Language?even if it?s for just one selected word.
