Strange Output
Not sure- maybe- it's a Brsque thing- maybe Photoshop- but it's coming out of Quark so I'll try here...
Customer gives us a jpeg of a logo for his letterhead. We save it as a tif and place it in Quark at 15% and colorize it- when e print- it comes out all jagged.
Things we tried (and failed):
resize in Photoshop and place at 100%
send with ascii data checked
save as a 16 bit tif and place
send from Quark 4 and 5
send from the PC
send with full res tif checked
Finally, I saved it as bitmap tif and placed and it looked fine.
I don't understand why. In Photoshop, all the logos looked the same quality. They are all 300 dpi. They print fine from Photoshop. I've placed grayscale tifs and colorized many times and never saw this.
Why on this one file is it acting so strange?
