We're expecting our Epson 9800 anytime now, if your not looking for and immediate purchase wait out and i'll be posting a review..
Our customers are the same way, we will primarily use it for printing posters/banners/etc and our own inhouse proofing.
Went to Print '05 and CtP and Wideformat were the two main things we looked at. Visited, Agfa (Sells Epson, they had a past generation model in their booth...? WTF?), Screen (Don't Remember), Heidelberg (Sells HP), HP, Canon, Xerox and Epson.
All of the manufacturers said they supported Epson. When we compared quality and costs Epson was not only the best quality in our eyes, but also the cheapest.

[edit] You probably thought WTF i don't need a the huge 9800, but getting a review of the 9800 would be pretty much comparable to a 4800 or 7800.
