edgar, we have very strict building codes here in the upper 48 that require insulated covers on all electrical outlets and they also have to be placed very specifically according to what kind of outlet they are and how much power they have i.e. 110V AC or 220V AC also some even require to have a breaker switch built into them so they don't overload and start fires.

This said I have seen so many shops that have violated these codes due to remodeling and cost cutting over the years. 8O
